Fiver Fridays the first Football Fest and a great Interactive Arcade Tour
Hey Roomies, it's just a week until the World Cup kicks off and we couldn't be more excited. Did you know that we (well Marty) have a collection of over two hundred football games and one that we made ourselves? Fair to say we're football crazy down at the Retro Room!

To celebrate we've a full month of football gaming stuff coming up cumulating in Football Fest on July 18th and 19th World Cup final weekend. First up we'll host Belfast's only World Cup Subbuteo tournament on Saturday July 18th from 12pm - 6pm. This will be free to attend and suitable for all levels of players, we'll have folk there on the day to referee and help with the rules. In terms of ages it will be 10+ really because they need to be tall enough to reach the table!
Following that on Sunday 19th we'll be hosting a 40 years later celebration of the great Mexico 86 World Cup on our consoles. Teams will be drawn from a hat and you'll play a tournament across various football titles such as Pro Evolution Soccer, FIFA, Ronaldo V Football, Mexico 86, Tehkan World Cup and more. Tickets will be £10 to enter with excellent prizes for the winners. Entrants will also be invited to watch the World Cup final after hours in the Retro Room!
And on the lead up to all this fun we'll be kicking off a wee web series called Beyond Saving where we play truly terrible games just for the craic starting with terrible football games. Fair to say there's a few to choose from in the archives!
WE HAVE THE POWER!

It's about time there was a great Masters of the Universe movie isn't it? Yeah we can all say the Cannon Films one from '87 was great but it was pure trash really made by two of the craziest sods ever to set up a movie studio. We'd highly recommend Electric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Story of Cannon Films as an amazing documentary on the company though, pure madness from beginning to end!
Anyhow our Fiver Fridays deal continues and this week you can check out the new Masters of the Universe film at the Movie House for only £5 before 5pm and then get yerself over to the arcade where all tickets are £5 per hour before 5pm and a full day ticket (from 11am until 10pm) is only £20. How much gaming can you handle?
