Go Retro This Halloween at Cityside! Horror Games, Classic Scary Movies, Vintage Toys, Spooky Theatre and more this Halloween Weekend
Have to say what’s going on across Halloween at Citywide has us well excited this year. Where else can you get retro games, horror flicks, vintage toys and theatre under the one roof? Your answer is nowhere that’s where!

The Halloween Spooktacular
We’re hosting our second Halloween Spooktacular on Halloween Night from 8pm midnight. We’ll have wall to wall horror games across our machines including Splatterhouse, Halloween the game, Castlevania, Blood, Hexen, Doom, Silent Hill, Knight Lore and many, many more. We’re also stoked to feature a locally made horror game You’ve Changed an anomoly horror game where you unravel a mystery by local game designer Ronan Burke. Ronan will be here on the night also.

And we’ll have our brutal Terrordrome Tournament. What’s Terrordrome? It’s a fan created fighting game featuring all of the horror icons from Freddy and Jason through Pumpkinhead, Ash, Maniac Cop, Pinhead, Chucky and many more. Think Mortal Kombat but you’re playing as Michael Myers. We’ll have a last man standing comp where the winner can win movie tickets to the The Evil Dead, The Exorcist as well as arcade vouchers, tees and other goodies.
This is a private ticketed event where tickets can be bought online or at the event on the night so feel free to bring some drinks also. Of course it’s strictly 18+ and we’ll ask you younguns for ID too so don’t chance your arm on that one! Tickets are only £20 for 4 hours of Halloween havoc.
The Collector’s Vault Vintage Toy Fair
From 11am until 6pm we’ll be hosting a vintage toy fair outside the arcade with the uber toy nerds from the Collector’s Vault. Pick up classic toys from Masters of the Universe, Star Wars, Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, gaming toys and much more. And the Belfast Predator will be prowling the centre too with those dutiful Mandalorean Protectors making sure he doesn’t get out of hand. Access to the toy fair is completely free for all. We also have some tables left if you’re interested in exhibiting drop us a line.

Retro Horrors at the Movie House
Speaking of the Exorcist and Evil Dead did you know there’s a bunch of retro horrors showing at the Movie House at Cityside over the Halloween weekend? Scream, The Exorcist (Directors Cut with some mad scenes re-added!) and our favourite horror The Evil Dead are all on over the Halloween weekend Saturday and Sunday. Movies and horror games and all at really affordable prices too? But here what about a bit of theatre?

Cahoots Presents The 13 Chairs
The Hoffman family have a terrible secret. Can the 13 dinner guests around the table make it out of this ordeal alive? There’ll be scares aplenty as this ghost story unfolds at the Cahoots Theatre.
How’s that for a Halloween weekend? Who needs Derry eh? (Joke, Derry’s class at Halloween.)
