Star Wars Day & Announcing Mega Mortal Kombat 2!
So the sun's out and that means the fun's out at the Retro Room with a couple of special events coming up in May.
First off our first Star Wars Day on May 4th Bank Holiday Monday will see the arcade decked out with a ton of classic Star Wars games from Tie Fighter and X Wing (complete with old skool flight sticks) to Star Wars 1987 (bizarre!), the Super Star Wars trilogy, Dark Forces, Masters of Teras Kasi and many more! From 11am on Bank Holiday Monday.
And from 6pm we'll be showing a selection of Star Wars fan films just for kicks. From the silly to the spectacular we've collected fan films from all across the galaxy for your perusal. Honestly we couldn't describe half of what we've seen in these!
MEGA MORTAL KOMBAT 2 AND FIVER FRIDAYS!
We've hooked up once more with our filmic friends at the Movie House and will be hosting a Mega Mortal Kombat 2 contest on the huge screen in the Cityside Mall to celebrate the launch of the new Mortal Kombat 2 movie on May 8th. The format will be the arcade version of MK2 and there will be extra points for fatalities! Tickets will be £10 including an hour's entry to the Retro Room purchasable in the venue from 5pm on Friday 8th of May.
FIVER FRIDAYS
Also from May 8th we'll be matching the Movie Houses £5 Friday deal. Bring your Movie House ticket to the Retro Room for £5 per hour entry before 5pm on a Friday until the end of June. £5 for an hour or £10 for two hours retro gaming? We must be mad!
We're open every weekend of course as always and the Retro Room is available from Monday - Thursday for that birthday party, corporate event or anything else you have in mind from only £10 per person per hour.
